FIELD TRIAL CHAMPION
DRUMINDONEY LAST CHANCE OF CAYTONFELL
(Ash)
I.G.L. Qualifier 2023. I.G.L. qualifier and Award Winner 2024
(FT CH BURRENDALE FERGIE OF CAYTONFELL x GORRYMPOYNT GUDRUN OF DRUMINDONEY)
Ash resembles his sire in looks, build and athleticism. A strong dog, he is proving a great game finder and relishes competition and training.
Ash is a young dog but had done well with his early training and I felt he was ready for competitive field trials in 2023.
He was lucky enough to be drawn for a run in the Arfon Working Gundog novice trial at Bryn y Phys in October and ran a brilliant trial coming FIRST in his FIRST EVER TRIAL. What a start!
November 21st 2023 - Ash then wins his first ever two day OPEN field trial qualifier Thanks to NWCFTA and all the judges, keeper and the Holden family for a memorable two days. We enjoyed competing in the IGL Championship December 2023 and despite an early exit - I was very proud of Ash who was one of the youngest dogs competing!
Ash made a good start to the 2024 trialling season coming 2nd Place at the Highland Gundog Club 2 day Open Field Trial in September giving him a B qualification towards running in the IGL. I was then delighted that after an amazing 2 days trialing in Scotland at the South West Scotland Gundogs association we came away with the win. This makes Ash (Drumindoney Last Chance of Caytonfell) to FTCH subject to KC approval also gaining a place in the 2024 IGL where at this years IGL where he worked brilliantly over the three days finishing in the last 9 dogs and achieving a Diploma of Merit. Both myself and his owner Thelma Blumenthal are very proud of his achievements.
